Talk Show Host Kate Delaney Has Been On A Winning Streak
Las Vegas, NV — They say good things come in threes, which is certainly the case for talk radio show host Kate Delaney.
On Sunday, Kate was a keynote speaker for the NAB Leadership Foundation’s ‘Focus on Leadership’ speaker series, at the 2024 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
Delaney is a prolific public speaker, but this event was special. It was the first time she had been invited by the NAB to speak at the NAB Show, and the audience was full of her peers and colleagues.
Kate shared, “I was honored to speak at NAB this year. This year a big focus is on ‘Capturing Your Vision.’ Radio, at its best, keeps and grows an audience with great storytelling, innovative use of audio and the experience you create for the listeners.”
Just a few weeks prior, news came in from Salt Lake City that powerhouse station KSL had added America Tonight with Kate Delaney to its nighttime lineup.
Regarding the new addition, KSL Program Director, Kevin LaRue, said, “KSL is excited for overnight news programming with a combination of solid information and a big personality to be a trusted companion to our listeners. Welcome to Kate, her team and Talk Media Network!”
To which Talk Media Network (TMN) CEO Josh Leng gave KSL & Kevin their flowers, noting the Bonneville station just received a 2024 NAB Crystal Radio Award. “To Kevin and the entire KSL team at Bonneville HQ, ‘Congratulations!’ on a well-deserved award. Thank you for continuing to invest in radio. Your operation is one of the best, shining examples in our business.”
Kate Delaney celebrated, saying, “I’m thrilled that America Tonight can now be heard on KSL in Salt Lake City. It’s a powerful station with a rich history of serving its listeners.”
But wait… there’s more!
The torch was recently passed from one TMN host to another, as the founder of Amazing Americans, Jerry Schemmel, passed the mic and hosting duties to Kate Delaney for the weekly one hour program he started in 2019, that serves up inspiring & motivating stories of human achievement.
Hosting Amazing Americans is right up Kate Delaney’s alley, as she’s interviewed more than 16,000 people in 20 years, in her radio and television career.
“I look forward to continuing to share compelling and captivating and inspirational stories of human achievement on Amazing Americans. Something my predecessor, Jerry Schemmel, was exceptional at, in hosting the program,” shared Kate. “Radio listeners are hungry for authentic, true-life stories, to leave them feeling inspired.”
Leng also commented, “Jerry created a program that was bigger than himself, it’s a part of his radio legacy, and every week we’ll continue to share powerful stories that are a shining example of the positive content radio can and should be sharing in our communities.”
In recognizing the trifecta of good news, Leng noted, “Kate Delaney is a pro’s pro. She’s made her own luck, through hard work and great communication. Talk Media Network is proud to be expanding her audience.”
